Corridor Public Workshop

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), in cooperation with Hendry and Glades Counties and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is holding a corridor public workshop for the SR 29 Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study. The study proposes improvements to SR 29 from CR 80A (Cowboy Way) to US 27 in Hendry and Glades Counties from the current two lanes to four lanes. The workshop is 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the LaBelle Civic Center, 481 Highway 80 West (behind City Hall), LaBelle, Florida.

Click on the icons below to view the project handout, in both English and Spanish, and the graphics that were on display at the workshop. Your comments are very important. Please review the corridors shown and tell us which corridor(s) you like, or don't like and why. Also, tell us if you know of any other features that should be avoided. You may send us your comments via the Comments page on this web site by June 27, 2008 so that they can be considered in the selection of the corridor(s) that will be carried forward in the PD&E study.
